CURRICULUM
We are currently reviewing our Curriculum vision whereby children are taught using real life contexts for learning and have significant input into the planning of their learning outcomes. Our wider Curriculum is enhanced through visits, visitors and experiential learning.
We follow the National Curriculum 2014 objectives with medium term planning following a two year rolling programme.
A full evaluation of Curriculum provision is scheduled for the summer term in preparation for implementation of our Curriculum vision in September 2017.
The content of the school Curriculum for each term is sent out by each class as an overview with details reflected on the class pages of this website. A full picture of the school Curriculum for 2017 / 2018 will be published in the Autumn term.
Throughout the schools, Phonics is taught using Letters and Sounds.We use a variety of schemes for reading to ensure the children gain breadth and balance, this includes the Oxford Reading Tree scheme.
